Don enlisted in the Australian Regular Army at Marrickville, New South Wales on 8 August 1951 and allotted Army number 2/ 5206.

 

Don stated on enlistment:
He was born at Kempsey, New South Wales on 30 September 1930, and
His next of kin was his father, Francis John Fuller of Short Street, West Kempsey, New South Wales.

Served in Australia with the following units:

  1. 1st Australian Recruit Training Battalion

  2. 1st Royal Australian Regiment

  3. 11th Australian National Service Training Battalion

​

Don embarked at Sydney, New South Wales for service overseas with the 1st Royal Australian Regiment per His Majesty's Transport 'DEVONSHIRE' on 3 March 1952.

​

Don served in both Japan and Korea from 3 March 1952 to 8 April 1953 with the with the 1st Royal Australian Regiment.

​

Don disembarked in New South Wales per 'NEW AUSTRALIA' from Korea on 8 March 1953​​

​

Don achieved the rank of Corporal during his service life.

​

On discharge, Don was posted to the 1st Royal Australian Regiment

Don was discharged on the 18 May 1956.
