Darcy enlisted in the Australian Army at Paddington, New South Wales on 2 August 1945 and allotted Army number NX207898.

Note: Darcy has a second Army Service Number (24450) noted on his records, further investigation is currently underway to understand how this occurred and what it means to Darcy's service life.

 

Darcy stated on enlistment;
He was born at Kempsey, New South Wales on 13 January 1927, and
His next of kin was his father, Francis John Fuller of Short Street, West Kempsey, New South Wales

Darcy served with the following units:

  • 55/53rd Australian Infantry Battalion

​

Embarked at Brisbane, Queensland for service overseas with the 55/53rd Australian Infantry Battalion per ‘DUNTRON’ on 16 January 1946​

​

Darcy achieved the rank of Private during his service life.

​

On discharge, Darcy was posted to the 55/53 Australian Infantry Battalion

Darcy was discharged on there 28 January 1947​,
